Lotte and the Moonstone Secret Won an Award in Chicago
The animated film Lotte and the Moonstone Secret by Heiki Ernits and Janno Põldma won 2nd prize in the feature length animated film category by decision of the jury of grown-ups at the Chicago International Children’s Film Festival.
The Chicago International Children’s Film Festival is one of the most important children’s film festivals in the world and the largest of its kind in North America. As of 1983, the aim of the festival has been to introduce new and interesting children’s films and to recognise high artistic quality in children’s films.
The feature length animated film Lotte and the Moonstone Secret was completed in 2011 at Eesti Joonisfilm Studio. The Estonian Film Foundation, the Estonian Cultural Endowment, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Estonia, the Media Programme, and the Latvian Film Foundation supported the completion of this film.
