Olga and Priit Pärn’s animated film Life without Gabriella Ferri was awarded the Special Jury Prize at the Monstra Festival 2011!
Olga and Priit Pärn’s animated film Life without Gabriella Ferri (2008) has won several awards, and now it participated in the feature film competition programme at the MONSTRA 2011 International Animated Film Festival in Lisbon. Eesti Joonisfilm is very pleased to announce that the festival’s international jury consisting of Georges Sifianos, Monique Renault, Peter Serrazina, Piotr Dumala and Manuel Tentúgal awarded the Special Jury Prize to the animated film Life without Gabriella Ferri. The MONSTRA 2011 International Animated Film Festival took place this year on 21–27 March. The festival has been held since the year 2000.
Life without Gabriella Ferri was produced at Eesti Joonisfilm Studio in 2008 and the Estonian Film Foundation and the Estonian Cultural Endowment provided support for its completion.
Synopsis of Life without Gabriella Ferri:
A dramatic story about love, locked doors, an unsightly thief, a wounded stork, a lost laptop, and the virtual prostitutes the O’Key sisters…Gabriella Ferri is not in the film, but it almost has a happy ending.
