Trailer completed for the EV100 film Lotte and the Lost Dragons

The trailer for the animated adventure Lotte and the Lost Dragons, the first film in the Republic of Estonia EV100 film programme, has been completed. The sequel to the beloved series of films for the entire family will reach cinemas across Estonia on 4 January 2019.

‘Puppy girl Lotte, who has entertained big and small viewers in the films Lotte Journey South, Lotte from Gadgetville, and Lotte and the Moonstone Secret, is finally back before the public,’ said Kalev Tamm, producer at Eesti Joonisfilm.

The only animated film in the EV100 film programme, the premiere for Lotte and the Lost Dragons will be on 4 January 2019, in Estonia and Latvia. The film will reach the broader international film going public during the course of 2019.

‘In honour of the 100th Anniversary of the Republic of Estonia the beloved series of adventure films will continue,’ said Maarja-Liisa Soe, Head of the Government Office’s EV100 progamme. ‘The animated film Lotte and the Lost Dragons will also surprise viewers with its exciting plot and new characters,’ add Soe.

In Lotte and the Lost Dragons, an adventure film for the entire family, the wonderful puppy girl get a little sister, Roosi. Gadgetville is visited by scientists, Karl the Raccoon and Victor the Fish, who are participating in an important competition for collecting old folk songs. The grand prize will be awarded to whomever is able to record the folk song of the world’s oldest animal species, the mythical fire-breathing dragons. Lotte and Roosi decide to help the scientists. Exciting and unexpected adventures await them.

Lotte and the Lost Dragons was completed in cooperation between Eesti Joonisfilm and the Latvian studio Rija Films. The production of the film is being supported by the Estonian Film Institute, the National Film Centre of Latvia, Creative Europe’s MEDIA programme, Shortcut, and Estonian Public Broadcasting.
